Grid connection policy: Check the documents of the local development and reform commission or power grid company, confirm the "full grid connection" (all power generation is sold to the power grid, and the electricity price is based on the local desulfurization coal benchmark price+subsidy) or "self use and surplus electricity grid connection" (priority self use, surplus electricity is sold to the power grid according to the local coal-fired benchmark price) mode. Currently, the mainstream household use is "self use and surplus electricity grid connection".​


Grid connection process: Submit an application in advance to the local power grid company (requiring property ownership certificate, ID card, and system design plan). The power grid company will conduct an on-site investigation of the grid connection point (such as the location of the meter box and cable capacity) to confirm whether a larger capacity meter needs to be replaced (such as the original 220V/5 (60) A meter can meet the ≤ 12kW system, and upgrading the three-phase meter is required for exceeding 12kW).


Subsidy policy: As of May 2024, national household photovoltaic subsidies have been withdrawn, but some local governments (such as Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang) still have local subsidies (such as 0.03-0.05 yuan/kWh, subsidy period of 2-3 years), and it is necessary to consult the local energy bureau in advance.
